Bragging Rights

I am so proud of Dara and Copper. They have really been an awesome team lately. It all started at the end of June and the July 3rd and 4th buckle series. She ran her fastest time ever in the Cleburne outdoor the weekend before the 4th. They ran a 17.8 with the winning time being around a 15.3. The next weekend at the buckle series on Friday night, she ran a blazing 17.7 in the youth and a 17.8 in the open on the 3rd. She also brought home a check winning the youth 3D. Then we went back on the 4th for the second day. I gave Copper a gram of bute before we left because he had been running for two weekends in a row.

I had a lady give him a message before her youth run. Still had some trouble in the alley. She let him really run this time and they ran the fastest time EVER a 17.1 in the youth. She won 1st in the youth 3D. Then it came time for her open run...had trouble in the alley. Finally got him in. She again let him run and they ran a 17.7. Winning time in the open was 15.3. She didn't place in the open, but that was OK.

The best part was that she won the youth 3D buckle. They awarded the buckles on an average of both days and then they put those times into D's. YEA!!!! Copper can rest until she gets to South Dakota.
